It’s also the only one that still makes whiskey by hand–which means there are no machines involved in any part of the process. Bushmills Irish Whiskey History Bushmills Irish Whiskey is a product of Bushmills Distillery in the town of Bushmills in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The distillery was founded by Hugh Anderson in 1608 and has been operated by his descendants ever since. In 2015, Bushmills produced over 4 million gallons of whiskey at their distillery (the largest amount ever!).
