 Then make your way into the Cathedral and down to the Catacombs on the right-hand side of the map, which are located on the bottom of the map. A number of new monsters can be found in this expansive dungeon. There are Arachs, The Banished, The Afflicted, Ghouls, and Rat Men among the various races. None of these are particularly dangerous on their own, but having to learn how all of these different enemies work at the same time while also exploring a large area that can make you feel overwhelmed can be a difficult task. Take your time, and don't be afraid to return to town for a breather if you need to. In the Catacombs, make a point to locate and pick up the Waypoint on the second level so that you can accelerate your corpse run if you happen to die.

Eventually, you'll make your way up to the fourth floor of the Catacombs, where you'll find yourself. When you walk through the door, you'll be in a secure environment. Take advantage of this opportunity to leave a TP that you can use if you encounter difficulties in the next room. After passing through the door, take some time to clear out all of the Dark Ones, their Shamans, and zombies that have taken up residence. Be careful not to open the next door until you've dealt with everyone else, or you'll activate the Act boss, Andariel.

The Countess is the fourth quest.

Following Cain's liberation, your next objective is to assassinate The Countess. This quest is only available to you if you discovered a pedestal in the Stony Fields instructing you to complete it. It takes some searching to track down the pedestal, but you are not required to locate the pedestal in order to complete the quest, so don't be concerned if you don't find Diablo2 Resurrected Items PC. From the Dark Wood, you must proceed to the Black Marsh, which is a short distance away. Search the area surrounding this map until you come across The Forgotten Tower. This optional quest will appear in your log once you have discovered it.

A more powerful version of Fallen known as the Devilkin can be found within The Forgotten Tower, though they do not yet possess their own Shaman at this time. There are also Night Clan Goatmen, Vile Archers, and Ghosts strewn about the place. When you are hit by the latter monster, it drains your mana, making it a bit more difficult for caster characters to defeat.

Located on the top floor of the tower, your objective is to find the boss. She is accompanied by a number of minions and attacks with fire-enchanted attacks from close range. Alternatively, keep your distance or bring several healing potions with you. Importantly, The Countess is a reliable source of early rune drops, which you can then use to empower your equipment and weapons. She will also drop a number of pieces of equipment, some of which may be useful upgrades if you're lucky.

Quest 5: The Essential Tools of the Trade

Remember to speak with Charsi the blacksmith back at the Rogue Encampment after you've finished dealing with The Countess. The hammer she left behind while fleeing the Monastery will be revealed to you, and she will ask you to help her retrieve it. Traveling from the Black Marsh to the Tamoe Highlands and then through the Barracks is necessary in order to complete this optional quest. You'll come across upgraded versions of most of the normal monsters you've encountered so far, but you'll be able to run past them for the most part if you're between levels 12 and 15 at the time. You're probably ready to move on to the second Act by that point, so there's no reason to continue grinding if you don't want to.

Having said that, the Barracks can act as a bit of a stumbling block for new players at times. Similarly to the Underground Passage, this area is densely populated with enemies and does not provide you with much breathing room. Take it slow as you fight off cheap Diablo 2 resurrected ladder items the monsters, and be on the lookout for Bone Mages and Bone Archers, who can be deadly. If you don't deal with them right away, they can do a lot of damage from a distance.

The Smith is the area's boss, and he's the one who wields the hammer you're looking for. Not only does he deal a lot of damage, but he also spawns with a large horde of minions. Make an effort to draw him away and allow him to deal with him on his own. If you need to take a breath or refill your potions, don't be afraid to retreat to the Rogue Encampment for a while. Pick up the Horadric Malus and bring it back to Charsi once he and his horde have been dealt with successfully. She will then offer to imbue one of your non-magical items with the power to transform it into a randomly selected rare item. You can either do this right away or put it off until you have more high-quality equipment.

Sisters to the Slaughter is the sixth quest in the series.

This is the only quest in Act I that you are required to complete in order to progress. Following your encounter with The Smith, proceed through the Barracks and into the Jail. This area has three levels that you'll need to work your way through, each of which contains even more monsters than you're used to fighting. The only notable addition is the presence of mana-sucking Wraiths, which are essentially tougher versions of the Ghosts you faced Diablo 2 resurrected items in The Forgotten Tower, but with more health. You'll find yourself in The Inner Cloister after you've cleared out the Jail. It's important to remember to pick up the Waypoint and go refill potions if you're running low on supplies.

Head through that door and face Andariel once everyone has died. -It's your first objective to get her to come closer to the door. If at all possible, you should avoid activating all of the other enemies in the room with her if at all possible. Following her approach to you, your best option is to hit her with any fire attacks you may have available. She is extremely vulnerable to fire and will be brought down in seconds if you hit her with everything you have. If you don't have access to fire-based skills, make sure you have plenty of potions on hand because her attacks deal a great deal of poison damage to you. Unfortunately, this damage is slow-acting, so you will have time to flee through a portal back to town and remain safe if necessary. Once she's dead, gather your loot and return to town, where you can speak with Warriv to progress to Act II.
